Beautiful Avis may I ask what do U see in the word "WHITE"? in my Culture White has good meanings Spiritually,but our Australian Aboriginals,R really very adverse 2 the colour white,in fact very supersticious,they see white associated with white-man,Captain Cook,& 2 them white-man is "Bad-Spirits"hihihihi;one of my major tribal nth american indian animal totem is the White Wolf,they all say-should B a black wolf-they fail 2 understand wolf represents Great Teacher & the white wolf is the highest spiritual teacher,aint nothin 2 do with white-man!!!hihihihi ^^_^^ :)

we use white also in funeral praying for moslem but some people use black. u mean like Yan Ying in Chinese tradition?a white and black but not in totem like American Indian tradition but for general, white is symbol of purity, spiritual also, and honest hoohoho ^_^

Not as in yin yang Same as 4 U,White is tribally seen as the highest spirituality color & also represents Purit & Honest same. Most of our tribal traditions are based on legends as ;-The White Buffalo Calf Woman,came down from the Heavens & bought with her the Great Buffalo,she then turned into a Magnificant White Buffalo,2 signify the Purity & Highest form of Spirituality,The Great Plains American Tribal Indians literrally relied on the Buffalo 4 every survival need in life,the White Buffalo is considered very rare & Sacred,one never kills a white Buffalo,because this is White Buffalo Calf Woman. The Australian Aboriginals R Very Superstitious in regards 2 the color white! 2 them white means a bad color!!! hohoho 4 these folks,white represents the white-man,Captain Cook & the "POMS"-poor prisioners of her majesty the Queen of England Queen Victoria at time whom used Australia called then-Van Deimens Land & used as a Penal Colony,say 4 a poor mother or father having 2 steal a peice of moldy bread 2 feed their children,any excuse because of the British Class System,maany were sent 4 life in exile to Australia. A good movie which tells it truthfully & honestly is -(The Story of Mary Bryant)-this true story made into good movie showing reality! I often wish many Australian Aboriginals would watch this movie as those whom were prisioners of the Queen back in history had nothing 2 do with the colonisation & destruction of their native tribes & culture,but all white folks R seen in same light as the British establishment which treated these prisioners just as inhumanely;In fact the Australian Aboriginals R still 2 this day very Racist not only against all white people & other races,they R even still Racial towards their own people,their many differrent tribes or Skin Family as they deem themselves 2 B.I know of many Aboriginals especially the youths whom have almost full blood,perhaps 2/3rd & a bit of say German,whom R called racial names by their own people;such as NAZI-or Wog,or whatever,& these youths R very dark skinned that one would not be able to tell. yer they Expect all Australians 2 say sorry 2 them,yet why should one whom was forced 2 live here as a prisioner,or innocent immigrant,or one such as myself,sttolen from my own native Reservation!!!Be sorry ! hohohoho Teach U more if U wish :) ^^_^^
